From 18 to 25 March 2021
one ONLINE week dedicated to contemporary dance
CORPO MOBILE is a young choreographic platform held in Rome at Teatrocittà, a theatrical and musical research center of Torrespaccata directed by Patrizia Schiavo and Silvia Grassi, since 2017. The Festival, directed by the choreographer and dancer Davide Romeo flanked by his company. Emergenza, aims to support on the one hand the selected companies and dance in its entirety, on the other the center itself that is struggling to give new life to the neighborhood. Bringing dance to the suburbs is the main mission of Corpo Mobile which continues to host more than 20 companies from all over Italy and abroad.
In these very difficult times for theater and dance, and given the cancellation of the fourth edition which was supposed to take place in March 2020, the management of Corpo Mobile wants to R-EXIST with this special edition appealing to all young artists and to dance audiences around the world.
For the 2021 competition, the organizing committee assigns the theme SCANSIONI as a guideline to the theatrical and choreographic research of the festival. Scanning, in the IT field, is the process of digitizing a paper document, or the passage of data from a physical document to a digital one.
The twelve projects selected are performances in the form of work in progress with unpublished music, many of which are in their debut, including three projects by international artists.
A jury composed of 18 professionals in the sector will evaluate the performances and decide the winner of CORPO MOBILE 2021.
