In order to be more and more in tune with the emerging innovations in the concert world, the Philharmonic Society of Trento has established a particular relationship with the system of international competitions, which are still able to point out the great stars of the future. Specifically, in agreement with the Steinway Prizewinner, and therefore to make the most of the two pianos positioned on the stage of its own Hall, this year the Philharmonic welcomes the winning pianist of the famous Géza Anda Competition 2018 (Zurich).

 

Claire Huangci, the young American pianist first prize Géza Anda Competition 2018, stood out to the public with her “radiant virtuosity, artistic sensibility, keen interactive sense and daring dramatic readings” (Salzburger Nachrichten). His unusually diverse repertoire reveals extraordinary versatility. Claire Huangci, born in 1990 in Rochester, studied at one of the American academic excellences, the Curtis Institute in Philadelphia. After completing his specialization with Arie Vardi in Hanover, in a few years he has conquered audiences, stages and international orchestras of absolute prestige such as the Tonhalle-Orchester Zurich, Mozarteumorchester Salzburg and China Philharmonic Orchestra; Carnegie Hall, Wiener Konzerthaus, Konzerthaus Berlin, Gewandhaus Leipzig, Salle Cortot; Verbier Festival, Menuhin Festival Gstaad, Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival. In the past few months, the pianist made her debut at the Lucerne Piano Festival, the Lockenhaus Kammermusikfest and the Philharmonie de Paris. A fresh presence in Trento, capable of illuminating the entire season.
