La Mietitura
Ballet in three movements inspired by a painting painted by the choreographer
kristian Cellini himself. It is through the art of painting, the colors, the atmospheres, the lines, the pathos that a parallel reality takes shape and animates on the stage; in the first scene the dancers descended into a warm summer atmosphere and accompanied by the music "Amara Terra mia", echo the hard work in the fields and the wheat harvest.
The second scene is dedicated to love for the land and for each other, a pas de deux as a language of passions that is expressed on the notes
of the Adagio of the Aranjuez Concerto. The third scene, which concludes the ballet with an ensemble to music by J. S. Bach, recalls the lightness, joy of the summer period and the satisfaction of hard work.
As Jean-Georges Noverre wrote, “dance is like a painting” a living painting of the passions and customs of the peoples of the world.
